The Trevoli 10KDF-GAC is a 10" x 4.5" Jumbo cartridge combining granular activated carbon (GAC) with KDF media. The GAC reduces taste, odour, and chlorine. The KDF media works to reduce or remove heavy metals, iron, hydrogen sulfide, and chlorine — prolonging the life of the carbon and increasing its overall effectiveness.

This cartridge is designed for chlorinated mains water only. KDF media is not suited to unchlorinated supplies such as rainwater or tank water — for those applications, use the standard GAC10B instead.

Polypropylene sediment filtration pads at each end keep the media contained and provide additional coarse filtration.

This cartridge is replace-only — it is not cleanable or reusable. Replace every 6–12 months or sooner if taste or odour returns.

Fits most 10" Jumbo (Big Blue or Big White) housings — including Pentair, Puretec, Davey, and most other major brands. Jumbo housings take a 4.5" diameter cartridge.

What does KDF do?

KDF (Kinetic Degradation Fluxion) is a copper-zinc alloy media that works to reduce or remove heavy metals, iron, hydrogen sulfide, and chlorine through an electrochemical process. Combined with GAC, it extends the life of the carbon and improves overall filtration effectiveness.

Can I use this on rainwater or tank water?

No. The KDF media in this cartridge is designed for chlorinated mains water only. For rainwater, tank water, or any unchlorinated supply, use the standard GAC10B instead.

What is the difference between the 10KDF-GAC and the GAC10B?

Both are 10" Jumbo GAC cartridges. The 10KDF-GAC adds KDF media for additional reduction of heavy metals, iron, and hydrogen sulfide — and extends the effective life of the carbon. It is suited to mains water only. The GAC10B is suitable for a wider range of water sources.

Can I clean and reuse this cartridge?

No. This cartridge is replace-only — the media is consumed during use and cannot be regenerated or cleaned. Replace every 6–12 months or when taste or odour returns.

Will it fit my housing?

This cartridge fits most 10" Jumbo housings — the key measurement is diameter. Jumbo housings take a 4.5" diameter cartridge. If your housing takes a 2.5" diameter cartridge, you need the Standard size, not this one.

Is there a 20" version available?

Yes — the 20KDF-GAC is the same media combination in a 20" x 4.5" Jumbo size, for longer service intervals.
