A genuine Trevoli pleated sediment cartridge for 20 inch jumbo housings. Available in 20 and 50 micron — both made from 100% synthetic media and designed for high flow rates, high dirt-holding capacity, and repeated reuse.
The 20 inch jumbo format provides more filter media than a 10 inch cartridge, delivering greater particle-holding capacity and longer service life between cleans. Ideal as a first-stage pre-treatment for polyspun elements and UV systems in larger homes and high-demand installations.

Why choose Trevoli pleated filters
- High dirt-holding capacity — lasts longer between cleans than standard depth filters
- Designed for high flow rates — helps maintain water pressure in larger systems
- Cleanable and reusable — rinse and reinstall rather than replacing every time
- More filter media than a 10 inch cartridge — longer service life between cleans
- 100% synthetic media — suited to sediment, silt, fines, and some colour and organics
- Fits Big Blue and Big White 20 inch jumbo housings
- Ideal pre-treatment for polyspun and UV systems
Choosing the right micron
20 micron — catches sediment, silt, and fines at a finer level. The right choice as the first stage before a polyspun or UV system where thorough particulate removal is needed.
50 micron — coarser filtration with higher flow and longer intervals between cleans. Better suited to water with heavier particulate loads where a coarser first pass is preferred.
Note: lower micron ratings catch finer particles but clog faster. In high-sediment water, a 50 micron filter upstream can protect a finer 20 micron filter downstream.
How to clean and reuse
- Shut off the water supply and relieve pressure from the housing.
- Remove the cartridge using the housing wrench.
- Rinse under a tap or hose off visible sediment — work from the inside out if possible.
- For stubborn deposits, soak briefly in clean water, then rinse thoroughly.
- Reinstall and restore water supply.
Note: even with regular cleaning, all pleated cartridges have a finite life. Replace when flow doesn't recover after cleaning, or when the pleats are visibly damaged or discoloured.

Frequently asked questions
Which micron rating should I choose?
20 micron catches finer particles and is the better choice for pre-treatment before a UV system or fine polyspun filter. 50 micron is coarser — it loads more slowly and suits water with higher sediment loads where a first-pass coarse filter is preferred. If you're not sure, get in touch and we'll help you choose.
How is the 20 inch version different from the 10 inch?
The 20 inch jumbo format contains more filter media — greater particle-holding capacity and longer service life between cleans. It's the better choice for larger households and high-flow installations.
How often do I need to replace it?
We recommend replacing every 6–12 months depending on your water quality and usage. Because it's cleanable, you can extend the time between replacements by rinsing when flow slows — but replace when flow doesn't recover after a clean or when the pleats look damaged.
Can I clean and reuse this cartridge?
Yes. Trevoli pleated filters are designed for repeated reuse. See the cleaning steps above. Replace when they no longer recover after cleaning.
Will it fit my housing?
It fits most 20 inch jumbo housings — 20 inches long and 4.5 inches in diameter. Not suitable for standard 20 inch housings (2.5 inch diameter) or 10 inch housings. Get in touch if you're not sure.
Do I need special tools to change the cartridge?
Just the housing wrench that came with your system. Shut off the water first, unscrew the housing, swap the cartridge, and reinstall.
What warranty applies?
Filter cartridges are consumables and don't carry a standard product warranty. If you receive a cartridge that is visibly damaged or defective on arrival, get in touch and we'll sort it out.
