Automatic water level control for pumps and tanks. The Trevoli FSK-5 float switch monitors the water level in your tank and triggers your pump to fill or empty as needed — no manual checking, no pumps running dry, no overflowing tanks.

The float switch uses a steel ball and micro-switch mechanism to detect when the float changes angle as the water rises or falls. When the trigger point is reached the switch flips, starting or stopping the pump. The included counterweight sets the trigger angle.

Available in three variants — 5m cable, 10m cable (hardwire), and 10m cable with piggyback plug for direct pump connection.

Choose your variant

FSK-5-5 — 5m Cable (hardwire)

Standard cable length for most residential tank setups where the control box or pump is nearby. 3-wire hardwire connection. Suitable for fill or empty mode.

FSK-5-10M — 10m Cable (hardwire)

Double the cable length for deeper tanks or installations where the cable needs to reach further. 3-wire hardwire connection. Suitable for fill or empty mode.

FSK-5-10M PB — 10m Cable with Piggyback Plug

Same 10m neoprene cable but with a piggyback plug attached — plug your pump directly into the float switch socket for simple plug-and-play installation without hardwiring.

Note: suitable for tank empty/low level protection use only.

How it works

The float switch hangs in the tank from the cable. As the water level changes, the float tilts — when it reaches the trigger angle, the steel ball inside shifts position and activates the micro-switch. This sends the signal to start or stop the pump.

The counterweight clips onto the cable at the point where you want the switch to trigger. Setting the counterweight position determines the water level at which the pump activates.

The hardwire variants (FSK-5-5 and FSK-5-10M) can be configured to operate a pump in fill or empty mode depending on your setup — confirm the correct wiring configuration with your electrician or installer.

Frequently asked questions

Which variant should I choose?

If your pump or control box is close to the tank, the 5m cable suits most standard residential setups. If you need more reach, choose the 10m. If you want to plug your pump directly into the float switch without hardwiring, choose the 10m piggyback — it's the simplest installation option but is suitable for tank empty and low level protection use only.

What does the counterweight do?

The counterweight clips onto the cable to set the angle at which the float triggers the switch. Positioning it correctly determines the water level at which the pump activates or deactivates.

Can I use it to fill a tank or empty one?

The FSK-5-5 and FSK-5-10M hardwire variants can be configured for fill or empty mode depending on how they are wired. The FSK-5-10M PB piggyback variant is suitable for tank empty and low level protection use only — it is not suitable for fill applications.

What does IP68 mean?

IP68 means the float switch is fully protected against dust and against continuous submersion in water — it's designed to operate submerged in your tank without damage.

Does it need to be hardwired?

The 5m and 10m standard variants require hardwiring via the 3-wire cable. The 10m piggyback variant includes a plug socket — plug your pump directly into it for a simpler installation that doesn't require hardwiring.

What is the piggyback variant not suitable for?

The FSK-5-10M PB is suitable for tank empty and low level protection use only. It is not suitable for fill applications. If you need fill mode control, choose the FSK-5-5 or FSK-5-10M hardwire variants instead.

What warranty does it come with?

1 year.
