An adjustable automatic pump controller for electric water pumps up to 240V single phase. The Trevoli PC Multi gives you control over both the start pressure and the cut-off pressure, with two operating modes selectable at the press of a button — standard auto restart or automatic restart loss of prime with pressure tank support.
It comes pre-wired with plug and play leads — connect to your pump and power supply and it's ready to run. Wetted parts are made from high quality corrosion-resistant materials with a built-in non-return valve.

Why choose the Trevoli PC Multi
- Adjustable start and stop pressure — set both the cut-in and cut-off points to suit your system
- Two operating modes — standard auto restart (Mode 1) or automatic restart loss of prime with pressure tank support (Mode 2), selectable at the press of a button
- Auto restart function — if the pump loses prime it stops, waits, restarts, and if no water is available after 24 hours the pump shuts off
- Anti-seize function — starts the pump if it hasn't run for some time, preventing the motor from seizing
- Built-in non-return valve — prevents backflow through the controller
- Overload and over-pressure protection
- No flow / loss of prime protection
- LED indicators — power status, pump running, alarm indication, and current output pressure
- IP65 protection — suitable for outdoor and pump shed installation
- Pre-wired with plug and play leads — ready to connect
How it works
The PC Multi monitors system pressure continuously. When pressure drops below the set start pressure — because a tap opens or demand is placed on the system — the controller activates the pump. When pressure reaches the cut-off point, the pump stops.
Both the start pressure (0.5–6.0 bar) and stop pressure (0.8–9.8 bar) are fully adjustable, giving you control over exactly when the pump kicks in and when it cuts out. Two operating modes can be switched at the press of a button — Mode 1 is standard auto restart, Mode 2 requires a pressure tank and manages automatic restart on loss of prime.
The auto restart function handles loss of prime situations: if the pump stops due to no water, it restarts after 10 seconds, runs for 40 seconds, stops again for 10 seconds, and repeats. After 24 hours with no water available, the pump shuts off automatically. The anti-seize function prevents the motor from locking up after extended periods without use by periodically starting the pump briefly.
The controller faceplate includes a manual start switch, voltage LED, mode indicator LEDs (green for pump on, red for pump running), and a no flow LED (orange status light).

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between Mode 1 and Mode 2?
Mode 1 is standard automatic operation — the controller starts and stops the pump based on the set pressure points. Mode 2 requires a pressure tank — it is specifically designed for pressure tank installations and manages automatic restart on loss of prime with start and stop pressure configured to suit the tank setup. Do not use Mode 2 without a pressure tank installed. Modes are switched at the press of a button.
What does the auto restart function do?
If the pump stops because no water is available, the auto restart function cycles the pump — restarting after 10 seconds, running for 40 seconds, stopping for 10 seconds, and repeating. If no water is available after 24 hours, the pump shuts off automatically to prevent damage from continuous dry running.
What does the anti-seize function do?
If the pump hasn't run for an extended period, the anti-seize function starts it briefly to prevent the motor shaft from seizing. This is particularly useful for systems that sit idle for weeks at a time, such as baches or holiday homes.
What does the non-return valve do?
The built-in NRV prevents water from flowing back through the controller when the pump stops. This helps maintain system pressure and protects the pump from backflow.
Can I use this with any pump?
The PC Multi suits single-phase electric water pumps up to 16A at 220–240V. Check your pump's amperage rating against the 16A maximum before ordering. Get in touch if you need confirmation.
How do I set the start and stop pressure?
Both pressures are adjustable via the controller. The start pressure can be set between 0.5 and 6.0 bar, and the stop pressure between 0.8 and 9.8 bar. Refer to the instruction manual for the adjustment procedure.
Does it need a plumber or electrician to install?
The PC Multi comes pre-wired with plug and play leads, which simplifies connection. The plumbing connection uses standard 25mm fittings. We recommend having the installation done by a qualified person to protect the pump, the controller, and your warranty.
What warranty does it come with?
1 year.
