The most comprehensive UV filtration system in the Trevoli range — triple 20 inch jumbo housings covering coarse sediment, taste and odour, and fine sediment, paired with a 110W dual-lamp UV chamber. Designed for large homes on rainwater, tank water, bore, or well supply where sediment, taste, and microbiological treatment are all required at high flow rates.
The 20 inch jumbo housings deliver greater filter capacity and longer cartridge life than 10 inch equivalents. A 1000mm stainless connection hose between the filter housing and UV chamber is included.
Each of the two 55W lamps has its own ballast — one regular ballast and one Deluxe Countdown Timer Ballast. The Countdown Timer tracks lamp operating hours so you always know when replacement is due.
Note: bore and well water quality varies significantly — we recommend testing your water before purchasing to ensure this configuration suits your supply.
Ships as two separate items. Connection fittings are not included — a licensed plumber will need to make the connections.

How the system works
Stage 1 — Coarse Sediment
The 20 micron polypleated cartridge removes larger particles, silt, organic matter, and debris. The 20 inch format holds more sediment than a 10 inch cartridge, reducing the frequency of changes. Cleanable and reusable — rinse between replacements.
Stage 2 — Carbon Block
The 5 micron activated carbon block reduces taste, odour, and colour. Activated carbon is an extremely porous material with a very large surface area — a highly effective medium for adsorbing the organic compounds, chemicals, and dissolved substances that cause taste and odour issues in tank and bore water. The 20 inch format contains more activated carbon for greater adsorptive capacity and longer service life.
Stage 3 — Fine Sediment
The 1 micron polyspun cartridge removes fine silt and particles. At 1 micron, the filter physically blocks Giardia cysts. The 20 inch format provides greater capacity and longer service life. Clear water at this stage is essential for effective UV treatment downstream.
Stage 4 — UV Sterilisation (110W)
Water flows through the 110W UV chamber — powered by two 55W lamps running simultaneously — where it is exposed to ultraviolet light, destroying 99.99% of harmful micro-organisms including E.coli, Cryptosporidium, Campylobacter, and Giardia. No chemicals are added.
Each lamp is powered by its own ballast. The Deluxe Countdown Timer Ballast tracks hours of lamp operation and counts down remaining lamp life. When the countdown reaches zero, replace both lamps.
Important — surge protector recommended
Power surges and cuts can damage the UV ballasts and lamps. Installing a surge protector is strongly recommended to protect the unit — and note that damage caused by power surges may affect the outcome of your warranty claim on the ballasts and lamps. Select the surge protector option in the dropdown to add one to your order.
A note on bore and well water
Bore and well water quality varies significantly from site to site. Filtration and UV treatment alone may not be sufficient depending on your water's mineral content, bacterial load, or other characteristics. We recommend having your water tested before selecting a filtration system — get in touch and we'll help you interpret the results and confirm this is the right configuration for your supply.

Frequently asked questions
What micro-organisms does the UV unit treat?
The 110W UV chamber destroys 99.99% of harmful micro-organisms including E.coli, Cryptosporidium, Campylobacter, and Giardia — without chemicals or additives.
Why choose Option 6 over Option 5?
Option 6 adds a 5 micron carbon block as the second stage. This addresses taste and odour — relevant for bore water with earthy or mineral characteristics, and for tank water where organic matter from the roof catchment affects flavour. If taste and odour are a concern in addition to sediment, Option 6 is the right choice.
How is Option 6 different from Option 3?
Both use the same three-stage filter configuration — 20 micron pleated, carbon block, and 1 micron polyspun. Option 6 uses 20 inch jumbo housings for greater filter capacity and longer cartridge life, and the 110W UV handles a higher flow rate of 90 LPM. It's the better choice for larger homes and properties with higher daily water demand.
Why does this system use two lamps?
The 110W chamber runs two 55W lamps simultaneously to deliver the required UV dose at higher flow rates. Each lamp has its own ballast — one regular and one Deluxe Countdown Timer.
When should I replace the lamps?
Replace both lamps when the Countdown Timer Ballast reaches zero. UV output degrades before the lamp visibly fails — don't wait for it to stop glowing. Replace both lamps at the same time to maintain consistent UV dose.
What is the council recommended flow rate?
The council recommended UV dose is 40 mJ/cm² — achieved at a maximum flow rate of 66 LPM through this system. For installations where water quality compliance is a priority, keep flow within 66 LPM.
Why do I need a surge protector?
Power surges and sudden power cuts can damage the UV ballasts and lamps. A surge protector prevents this. It is strongly recommended — and note that damage caused by power surges may affect the outcome of your warranty claim. Select the surge protector option in the dropdown.
Does it include all connection fittings?
The system includes a 1000mm stainless connection hose between the filter housing and UV chamber. Additional plumbing connection fittings are not included — a licensed plumber will need to complete these connections.
Do I need a plumber to install it?
Yes — we recommend a licensed plumber for installation. The filter housings and UV unit need to be plumbed in sequence, and the UV unit must be the last stage before water enters the home.
Is this suitable for bore or well water?
It can be, but bore and well water quality varies significantly from site to site. We recommend testing your water before ordering — get in touch and we'll help you confirm this is the right configuration for your supply.
What warranty does it come with?
2 years back to base on the system. The UV lamps carry a pro rata warranty. Damage caused by power surges may affect warranty outcomes on the ballasts and lamps — a surge protector is strongly recommended.
