The Davey EvoDrive is an intelligent constant pressure pump with a variable speed drive, an integrated pressure tank, and a permanent magnet motor — all in a compact unit designed for medium-sized homes on tank water or mains supply that needs pressure boosting.
Unlike conventional fixed-speed pumps, the EvoDrive continuously adjusts motor speed to match demand. Turn on a tap and it ramps up; turn it off and it slows down. The result is consistent water pressure at every outlet without the cycling and pressure swings of older pump designs.
The touch panel illuminated control makes setup and adjustment straightforward. Operating and set pressure are displayed simultaneously, and fault warnings show on the digital interface.
Tested in compliance with AS/NZS 4020 for use in contact with safe drinking water. Manufactured under ISO 9001 quality management and ISO 14001 environmental management systems.
Professional installation by a licensed plumber is recommended.

How it works
The EvoDrive uses a 3-stage horizontal centrifugal pump driven by a permanent magnet motor and controlled by a variable speed drive. The controller reads system pressure continuously and adjusts motor speed to keep it at your set point — no matter how many outlets are open. The integrated pressure tank provides a buffer that reduces short-cycling and smooths pressure fluctuations.
The touch panel lets you adjust the set pressure directly. The digital display shows both operating and set pressure at a glance, and the fault warning system alerts you if something needs attention.
Suitable for: medium-sized household water supply, pumping from storage tanks, light irrigation, farming and agriculture, and pressure boosting applications.
Note: pressure boosting applications are subject to local regulations. Check with your plumber before installation.

FAQ
Is the EvoDrive right for my home?
It's designed for medium-sized households — a busy family home with multiple bathrooms running off a tank supply is the ideal application. For larger homes or higher flow demands, the Davey DynaDrive range offers higher-capacity options. Get in touch if you're unsure which model suits your setup.
How is the EvoDrive different from the DynaDrive?
Both are Davey constant pressure systems with variable speed drives and integrated pressure tanks. The EvoDrive uses a permanent magnet motor for improved energy efficiency and quieter operation, and features a touch panel digital display. The DynaDrive range covers a broader power range — from 0.8 kW through to 1.9 kW PRO. The EvoDrive sits between the DD60-10 and DD90-11 in flow terms at 0.9 kW input.
What does the variable speed drive do?
It adjusts motor speed continuously to maintain your set pressure as demand changes. Rather than switching on and off at full speed, the pump modulates — which means consistent pressure, lower energy use, and less wear.
Can I use it with a rainwater or tank supply?
Yes — pumping from storage tanks is one of the primary applications. The EvoDrive can draw from a tank up to 4m below the pump. The water needs to be clean, clear, non-corrosive, and at neutral pH. If your tank water has high sediment or turbidity, a pre-filter upstream is recommended.
What is the default set pressure?
300 kPa (3 bar). This is adjustable via the touch panel to suit your property and plumbing requirements.
Does it have dry run protection?
Yes. Loss of prime and dry run protection are built into the controller. If the pump loses its water supply, it will shut down to prevent damage.
Can I connect two EvoDrive units together?
Yes — the EvoDrive has a dual pump connection output for duty/standby or assist configurations. The connection cable is sold separately.
How loud is it?
The permanent magnet motor and variable speed drive are specifically designed for enhanced energy efficiency and quieter performance compared to conventional induction motor designs.
Do I need a plumber to install it?
Yes — professional installation by a licensed plumber is recommended. The pump uses standard 1" BSP fittings and needs to be correctly integrated with your tank or supply system. Pressure boosting may be subject to local regulations.
Can I pair it with a water filter?
Yes. Installing a filter upstream protects the pump from sediment and keeps your water quality consistent. Get in touch for filter recommendations suited to your water source.
What warranty applies?
2 years, backed by Davey's NZ dealer network.
