Reliable water pressure for everyday New Zealand homes — straight from your tank or shallow well to every tap in the house. The Kaha Flow Series is a self-priming jet pump with a pressure controller included, ready to plug in and run.

The pressure controller handles the start and stop automatically. When you open a tap, the pump starts. When demand stops, it shuts off. No manual switching, no separate wiring — just connect the plumbing and plug it in.

Both models share the same stainless steel body, IP44 motor protection, and 1 inch BSP connections. Choose the Flow II for smaller homes and holiday houses, or the Flow III for medium homes and lifestyle blocks with higher demand.

How it works

The Kaha Flow is a single impeller jet pump — it draws water up from your tank or shallow well using suction, then pressurises it through the outlet to your home. The maximum suction lift of 8 metres means the pump can sit above the water source, which suits most tank-to-home setups.

The included pressure controller monitors the system. It starts the pump when flow is detected and shuts it off when demand stops — keeping pressure consistent without running the pump continuously.

Typical applications:

  • Tank-to-home water supply (rainwater or stored water)
  • Shallow well or spring-fed supply
  • Holiday homes and baches
  • Lifestyle blocks with moderate water demand

Frequently asked questions

Which model is right for my home?

The Flow II suits smaller homes, holiday houses, and rentals where water demand is moderate — up to 50 L/min at a max head of 36 m. The Flow III is the better choice for medium homes and lifestyle blocks with higher demand — up to 70 L/min at a max head of 43 m. If you're not sure which fits your setup, get in touch and we'll help you work it out.

What does the pressure controller do?

The pressure controller monitors flow and manages the pump automatically. When you open a tap or appliance, it detects the demand and starts the pump. When flow stops, it shuts the pump off. This keeps pressure consistent and protects the pump from running dry or cycling unnecessarily.

Will it work with my rainwater tank?

Yes — the Kaha Flow is designed for tank-to-home use. It can lift water from a tank up to 8 metres below the pump inlet, which suits most domestic tank setups. If your tank is more than 8 m below where you'd install the pump, get in touch before ordering.

Do I need a plumber to install it?

We recommend a licensed plumber for most installations. The pump arrives with the controller pre-fitted and plugs into a standard power outlet, but the plumbing connections to your water supply and home should be done properly to protect the pump and your warranty. If you're confident with household plumbing, the connections themselves use standard 1 inch BSP fittings — but when in doubt, get a plumber in.

Can I pair it with a water filter?

Yes — a whole house filter installed after the pump is a common and practical combination. The pump provides the pressure, and the filter cleans the water before it reaches your taps. Get in touch if you'd like help choosing a filter to suit your setup.

How loud is it?

Both models are rated at ≤ 72 dB(A) — similar to a quiet conversation at close range. Most customers find it unobtrusive in a pump shed or outdoor utility space.

Is it suitable for New Zealand water conditions?

Yes. The stainless steel pump body and IP44 motor protection are designed to handle the conditions typical of New Zealand tank water and outdoor installations.

What warranty do I get?

36 months, backed by Waimana's local support team.
