Six-layer filtration for harsh, high-sediment water.

The Klearflow KF17 is a 17" replacement cartridge built for low-pressure, high-sediment supplies. It uses six layers of filtration to reduce sediment, chlorine, chemicals, heavy metals and scale — all in a single quick-twist cartridge.

It's designed for harsh and rural water and suits mains, council, tank and bore supplies. The cartridge fits directly into the Puretec Puremix Z7 system and retrofits other Puremix Z Series and Pentair Everpure systems. For household, indoor use.

Rated for up to 75,000 litres or 24 months, whichever comes first, the KF17 is a long-life cartridge that filters down to 1 micron. The quick-twist design makes changeovers fast and clean — no spanners, no mess.

  • Built for harsh, high-sediment rural and tank supplies
  • Long 75,000-litre / 24-month rated life
  • Quick-twist design makes replacement simple
  • Helps protect taps and appliances from scale
  • 1 micron filtration captures very fine particles and cysts

How it works

Water passes through six layers in sequence. Sediment is captured first, then the anti-bacterial ball, carbon block and KDF media reduce bacteria growth, chlorine, chemicals and heavy metals. The final scale-control layer helps prevent calcium and hard-water minerals from building up in your pipes and appliances. The result is cleaner, better-tasting water with fewer contaminants.

Frequently asked questions

What does the KF17 remove?

It reduces sediment, dirt, rust, cysts, chlorine, chemicals, heavy metals (including sulphide and lead) and scale, filtering down to 1 micron.

How often do I replace it?

The KF17 is rated for up to 75,000 litres, or around 24 months, whichever comes first. If your water is heavily sedimented, you may find it needs replacing sooner.

Which systems does it fit?

It fits directly into the Puretec Puremix Z7 and retrofits other Puremix Z Series and Pentair Everpure systems. If you're unsure whether it suits your setup, get in touch and we'll help you check.

What does the quick-twist design mean?

The cartridge twists in and out of the housing by hand, so changeovers are fast and clean — no spanners or tools needed.

Is it suitable for rural and bore water?

Yes — it's designed for harsh, low-pressure, high-sediment supplies and suits mains, council, tank and bore water. Bore water quality varies significantly. We recommend testing your bore water before selecting a filtration system — get in touch and we'll help you choose the right configuration for your supply.
