Inline UV treatment for rainwater, tank and mains supplies — in three sizes, from a single tap to a whole home.
A UV steriliser treats water against harmful micro-organisms as it passes through a stainless steel chamber. There's no chemical added, and no change to the taste or chemistry of your water. Choose the unit that matches your flow rate and your plumbing.
These are UV treatment units only — they don't remove sediment, chlorine or other contaminants. UV works best on water that's already clear, so pair the unit with sediment and carbon filtration upstream for a complete setup.
Bore water quality varies significantly. We recommend testing your bore water before selecting a filtration system — get in touch and we'll help you choose the right configuration for your supply.

How UV treatment works
Water passes through a stainless steel chamber containing a UV lamp. The UV light disrupts the DNA of micro-organisms, preventing them from reproducing. Nothing is added to the water and nothing is removed from it.
Two things affect how well this works. The first is flow rate — the faster water moves through the chamber, the less UV it receives. The second is clarity: sediment and turbidity shield micro-organisms from the light. Keeping flow within the unit's rating and filtering sediment upstream both matter.
Alarms and ballasts — what's different
Every unit tells you when the lamp needs attention, but each does it differently.

Which unit do I need?
Match the unit to your flow rate and your plumbing. The 6W is a point-of-use unit for a single tap or appliance, with 6mm connections. The 16W handles up to 24 LPM on 1/2" thread connections suiting 15mm hose. The 55W handles up to 45 LPM on 25mm connections and suits whole-home supply. Do these units include filtration?
No. These are UV treatment units only. They treat water against harmful micro-organisms but don't remove sediment, chlorine or other contaminants. For a complete setup, fit sediment and carbon filtration upstream.
Do I need a sediment pre-filter?
UV treatment works best when water is clear. Sediment and turbidity can shield micro-organisms from the UV light and reduce how well the unit works. If your supply carries sediment, fitting a sediment pre-filter ahead of the UV unit is strongly recommended.
Can I use these on rainwater, tank or bore water?
Yes these units suit mains, rainwater and tank supplies. Bore water quality varies significantly. We recommend testing your bore water before selecting a filtration system — get in touch and we'll help you choose the right configuration for your supply.
How do the alarms differ between units?

How often do I replace the UV lamp?

Do I need a plumber to install it?
For most customers, yes — a licensed plumber is the safest path. All three units arrive with mounting hardware and use standard connection sizes. If you're confident with household plumbing, the installation itself is straightforward. If you're not sure, get in touch and we'll help you decide.
What is the quartz sleeve?
The quartz sleeve is a protective glass tube that sits around the UV lamp inside the chamber. It keeps the lamp dry while letting UV light pass through into the water.
