How to choose
- Drinking tank water? Choose a system with UV. Filters remove dirt and particles, and UV deals with bacteria, viruses and protozoa.
- Already have UV, or only need clearer water? A sediment system without UV is the simpler choice.
- Pick your size. 10" Jumbo suits smaller homes and tighter spaces. 20" Jumbo gives higher flow and longer cartridge life for larger households.
- Bothered by taste or smell from stored water? Choose a 3-stage system. It includes a carbon stage for taste and odour.
Common questions
Why do I need a sediment filter before UV?
UV light needs clear water to work properly. The sediment filters remove dirt and particles first so the UV can do its job.
Does UV change the taste of my water?
No. UV adds no chemicals and doesn't change the taste or smell of your water.
How often should I replace the UV lamp?
Once a year. The lamp can still glow after 12 months but may no longer give reliable treatment.
What does tank disinfectant do?
It treats the water in your tank. Davey Microlene Acquasafe is hydrogen peroxide based and gives up to two months of protection, with no taste or smell.
