Fluoride Reduction Filters

Some NZ town supplies have fluoride added. These filters and cartridges are made to reduce it in your drinking water.

The Pentair benchtop twin filter connects to your kitchen tap. Its Aqualine AAL activated alumina cartridge is designed to reduce fluoride to below 0.5 ppm, then a Pentek CBC10 0.5 micron carbon block handles chlorine, taste and odour.

For a 10" standard housing, choose the Davey Microlene fluoride reduction cartridge or the Aqualine activated alumina fluoride cartridge. Both work best at a slow flow, so they suit a dedicated drinking water tap.

Fluoride media wears out faster than plain carbon: replace the AAL at least every 6 months, and each cartridge page gives its own guidance. Tell us your setup and we'll point you to the right one.
