Common questions
How much do I need for my tank?
1 litre for every 15,000 litres of water, with a 24-hour contact time. For example, 67 ml treats 1,000 litres and 5 litres treats 75,000 litres.
When should I test my tank water?
Test 24 hours after dosing, after significant rain, and at least every 2 to 3 weeks.
Does it protect against Giardia and Cryptosporidium?
We recommend using Acquasafe together with 1 micron depth filtration for protozoan cysts.

Davey Microlene Acquasafe is a tank water disinfectant for rainwater tanks. It uses hydrogen peroxide stabilised with silver, and it breaks down into oxygen and water.
One dose protects the tank for up to two months. Dose to the rate on the label, then check the level with Acquasafe residual test strips 24 hours after dosing, after heavy rain, and at least every 2–3 weeks. We recommend 1 micron filtration alongside it. Choose from three bottle sizes.
If you drink your tank water, pair it with filters plus UV.
