The Spring Source SS-836848 is a compatible replacement for the Fisher & Paykel 836848 fridge water filter, also sold as 836860 and 862285. Fisher & Paykel doesn't make it. Check the code on your current filter first, or a matching code such as EFF-6017A or WF296.
It twists on and off the quick-change filter head outside the fridge, with no tools, and the same head is used on some under-sink systems. Spring Source lists it as certified to NSF/ANSI 42 for chlorine, taste and odour and to NSF/ANSI 372 for its materials, with a WQA Gold Seal. It's BPA-free, rated for a flow of 2.8 L/min (0.75 gpm), and comes with replacement date labels.
