The ballast powers the UV lamp in a Greenway UV unit. The standard output ballast (GW_BA40S) pairs with GAUV-6S, 10S and 15S units, and the high output ballast (GW_BA95HW) with GAUV-12H, 20H and 32H units. Taylor Purification also lists the GW_BA40S for Watertec and other units with standard 4-pin lamps.
Each counts down 365 days from a new lamp and sounds an alarm when it's due, as the UV lamp should be changed yearly. A red LED shows if the lamp fails.
