The Omnipure K2567 is a two-media inline replacement cartridge combining KDF 55 medium and granulated activated carbon (GAC) for extended service life. KDF is designed specifically to reduce chlorine and water-soluble heavy metals, and to control scale, bacteria, and algae — protecting the carbon and keeping the cartridge effective for longer. The GAC reduces contaminants that affect taste and odour.

NSF/ANSI Standard 42 certified. Made in the USA.

Suitable for any inline water filter application on mains (town) water supply.

Choose your fitting type at checkout — JJ (John Guest push-fit) or BB (female threaded ends).

Sold as a single cartridge.

Questions

What does KDF 55 media do?

KDF 55 is a high-purity copper-zinc alloy designed specifically to reduce chlorine and water-soluble heavy metals. It also controls scale, bacteria, and algae — which extends the life of the activated carbon and keeps the cartridge working effectively for longer.

What does GAC do?

Granulated activated carbon adsorbs and traps contaminants that affect taste and odour, including chlorine, chloramines, and volatile organic compounds.

Which fitting type should I choose?

If your existing system uses 1/4" push-fit tubing, choose JJ. If your system connects via male threaded fittings, choose BB. If you're unsure, get in touch and we'll confirm the right type before you order.

How often do I need to replace it?

At 1 year or 5,678 litres — whichever comes first. Replace sooner if flow noticeably slows.

What does NSF/ANSI Standard 42 mean?

NSF/ANSI 42 is an independent certification covering the reduction of aesthetic contaminants — primarily chlorine, taste, and odour. It means the filter has been independently tested and verified to perform to that standard.

Can I use it with rainwater, tank, or bore water?

No — the K2567 is designed for mains (town) water supply only. Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.

How do I install it?

Note the flow direction marked on the cartridge before installing. For JJ push-fit: cut tubing square across and push firmly into the fitting until it bottoms out. For BB threaded: wrap male threads with thread sealing tape and tighten firmly using two wrenches. Flush with approximately 19 litres (5 gallons) of water before use and check for leaks.
