Pressure expansion tanks for residential, light commercial, and irrigation water systems. The Trevoli PT Series works with your pump and controller to store pressurised water, reduce pump cycling, and protect your system from pressure spikes.
Available in 14 models from 3 litres to 300 litres — carbon steel and stainless steel options, vertical and horizontal orientations, with and without base. Select your model from the dropdown.
All tanks are constructed with a polypropylene liner and high-grade butyl diaphragm. The liner forms a closed system to prevent bacteria growth and vermin intrusion. Carbon steel models have an epoxy coating for corrosion protection. Stainless steel models use a cast stainless steel water connection for added durability. All tanks are pre-charged with nitrogen to 4 bar / 58 psi and 100% pressure tested before leaving the factory.

How it works
A pressure tank sits between the pump and the house plumbing. When the pump runs, it fills the tank and compresses the air (or nitrogen) above the diaphragm. When a tap opens, water is pushed out of the tank by the compressed air — without the pump needing to start. The pump only kicks in when the tank pressure drops to the cut-in point.
This reduces the number of times the pump starts and stops (short-cycling), which extends pump life and reduces energy consumption. It also smooths out pressure fluctuations and protects pipework and appliances from sudden pressure changes.
Choosing the right size depends on your pump's flow rate and the pressure settings of your controller. Larger tanks deliver more drawdown volume — the amount of water available between the pump cut-in and cut-out pressures.
Choosing the right model
PT3 / PT8 / PT18 — Small tanks (3–18L)
Compact tanks for smaller systems, low-demand applications, or installations where space is limited. No base — wall or bracket mount.
PT8SS / PT18SS — Stainless steel small tanks
Same specifications as the PT8 and PT18 but in stainless steel — better suited to damp or corrosive environments.
PT24H / PT24HSS — 24L horizontal tanks
Horizontal orientation for installations where vertical clearance is limited. Carbon steel (PT24H) or stainless steel (PT24HSS). Includes base.
PT60H / PT60V — 60L tanks
Available in horizontal or vertical orientation. Includes base. Suited to standard household pump systems.
PT80H / PT80V — 80L tanks
Higher capacity for larger homes or systems with higher demand. Available in horizontal or vertical.
PT100 — 100L vertical
Large capacity for high-demand residential or light commercial applications.
PT160 / PT240 / PT300 — Commercial range (160–300L)
32mm connection for high-flow systems. Suited to light commercial and irrigation applications.

Frequently asked questions
What size tank do I need?
Tank sizing depends on your pump flow rate and pressure settings. As a general guide, larger tanks reduce pump cycling more effectively and provide more drawdown volume. For most standard household pump systems with a single pressure controller, a 60L or 80L tank is a common choice. For smaller systems or low-demand applications, the 18L or 24L models are often sufficient. Get in touch if you're not sure — we'll help you size it correctly.
What is drawdown volume?
Drawdown volume is the amount of water the tank delivers between the pump cut-in pressure and cut-out pressure. The table above shows drawdown at three common pressure settings. Higher drawdown means fewer pump starts per hour.
What is the difference between carbon steel and stainless steel models?
Carbon steel tanks have an epoxy coating for corrosion protection and suit most standard indoor and outdoor installations. Stainless steel tanks (PT8SS, PT18SS, PT24HSS) are better suited to damp, coastal, or corrosive environments where additional corrosion resistance is needed.
Does it come pre-charged?
Yes — all tanks are pre-charged with nitrogen to 4 bar / 58 psi and are ready to install. The pre-charge pressure may need to be adjusted to match your system's cut-in pressure — refer to the installation manual or consult your installer.
Does it need maintenance?
No — the PT Series is maintenance free. The butyl diaphragm and sealed construction require no regular servicing. Check the pre-charge pressure periodically if you notice changes in system pressure behaviour.
Do I need a plumber to install it?
We recommend a licensed plumber for installation. The tank connects to your pump system via standard 25mm or 32mm fittings and should be installed correctly to protect the tank and your warranty.
What certifications does it carry?
CE, ISO9001, UPC, NSF/ANSI 61, ACS, KC, and NSF/ANSI 372. NSF/ANSI 61 covers drinking water system components — material safety for contact with potable water.
What warranty does it come with?
5 years.
