Effective UV sterilisation for your home water supply.
This 16W inline UV steriliser treats water against harmful micro-organisms as it passes through the stainless steel chamber. It connects directly to your water line and works with your existing filtration setup — or as a standalone treatment stage where sediment and turbidity are already low.
Suited to homes on rainwater or tank water. If you're on a bore supply, water quality varies significantly — we recommend testing your bore water before selecting a UV system. Get in touch and we'll help you choose the right configuration.
Note: connection fittings are not included. The unit uses 1/2" male thread connections, suitable for 15mm hose.

How it works
UV Sterilisation — 16W Chamber
Water flows through the stainless steel UV chamber where the 16W lamp treats it against harmful micro-organisms. UV treatment is most effective when water is already clear — pair this unit with sediment and carbon filtration for best results.
The UV lamp deactivates a broad range of living organisms, including: Cryptosporidium, Giardia, dysentery bacilli, Salmonella, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Streptococcus, E. coli, Hepatitis B, Cholera, algae, fungi, and some viruses.
Alarm
The ballast controller triggers an audible alarm when the UV lamp is due for replacement. UV lamps lose effectiveness over time even if they're still glowing — the alarm is your prompt to swap it out before treatment quality drops.

Frequently asked questions
Is this unit suitable for my property?
This unit suits properties on rainwater or tank water where UV treatment is needed. Bore water quality varies significantly — we recommend testing your bore water before selecting a UV system. Get in touch and we'll help you choose the right configuration for your supply.
Does this unit include filtration?
No — this is a UV sterilisation unit only. It treats water against harmful micro-organisms but does not remove sediment, chlorine, or other contaminants. For best UV performance, water should be clear and low in sediment before it enters the chamber. Pair it with sediment and carbon filtration upstream for a complete treatment setup.
What micro-organisms does it treat against?
The UV lamp deactivates a broad range of living organisms, including Cryptosporidium, Giardia, dysentery bacilli, Salmonella, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Streptococcus, E. coli, Hepatitis B, Cholera, algae, fungi, and some viruses. These are the organisms named in the product specification.
What does the alarm do?
The ballast controller triggers an audible alarm when the UV lamp is due for replacement. UV lamps lose effectiveness over time even if they're still glowing — the alarm is your prompt to act before treatment quality drops.
How often do I replace the UV lamp?
The UV lamp should be replaced every 12 months.
What is the quartz sleeve?
The quartz sleeve is a protective glass tube that sits around the UV lamp inside the chamber. It keeps the lamp dry while allowing UV light to pass through into the water.
Are connection fittings included?
No. The unit has 1/2" male thread connections suitable for 15mm hose. You'll need to supply your own fittings to connect it to your pipework. Confirm your existing connection sizes before purchasing.
Do I need a plumber to install it?
For most customers, yes — a licensed plumber is the safest path. The unit arrives with mounting clips and uses standard 1/2" thread connections. If you're confident with household plumbing, the installation itself is straightforward. If you're not sure, get in touch and we'll help you decide.
Do I need bypass valves?
Bypass valves aren't included but are strongly recommended. They let you service the unit and replace the UV lamp without cutting off water to the property. Ask your plumber to include them in the installation.
What warranty does the unit carry?
This unit is covered by a 2-year warranty.
