A housing spanner is included with all Waimana whole house filter systems, but it's easy to misplace. Keep a spare on hand so cartridge changes are never delayed. If the housing is overtightened and difficult to remove, the spanner provides the leverage needed to break it free.

Will it fit my housing?

This spanner is designed for standard Big Blue jumbo housings — both 10 inch and 20 inch. If you're unsure, get in touch before ordering.

Any tips for using it?

Shut off the water supply and press the pressure relief button on the housing before using the spanner. This releases pressure and makes the housing much easier to unscrew. Do not overtighten the housing on reassembly — hand tight plus a quarter turn is generally sufficient.
