The Waimana Kaha Ultra IV is a variable speed multistage centrifugal pressure system built for medium to large homes, lifestyle blocks, holiday homes, and light farm use on tank water. It combines a horizontal multistage centrifugal pump, an integrated variable speed controller, and a pressure tank in a single complete system.
The variable speed drive adjusts motor speed continuously to match demand — maintaining consistent pressure throughout the home without the cycling and pressure fluctuations of fixed-speed systems. Soft start operation reduces pump wear and pressure shock on startup.
Stainless steel pump body. IP54 rated. Ships as a complete system ready to connect.
Professional installation by a licensed plumber is recommended.

How it works
The Ultra IV uses a horizontal multistage centrifugal pump driven by a variable speed motor. The controller monitors system pressure and adjusts motor speed in real time to maintain your set pressure as demand changes. Open a tap and the pump ramps up; close it and the pump slows down. Consistent pressure at every outlet, regardless of how many are running at once.
The integrated pressure tank provides a small draw-off buffer that reduces short-cycling and smooths minor pressure fluctuations.
Suitable for: medium to large households, holiday homes, lifestyle blocks, and light farm water supply from storage tanks.

FAQ
What makes the Ultra IV different from a standard fixed-speed pump?
A standard pump runs at full speed and cycles on and off as pressure drops and recovers. The Ultra IV uses a variable speed drive to modulate motor speed continuously — maintaining consistent pressure without the on/off cycling. This means steadier pressure, quieter operation, and less wear on the pump and pipework.
Is it suitable for tank water?
Yes — tank water supply is one of the primary applications. The suction lift is up to 1.5m, so the pump needs to be positioned close to the tank water level. For tanks significantly below the pump, get in touch to confirm whether the installation suits the suction lift specification.
Does it come complete?
Yes — the pump, integrated variable speed controller, and pressure tank are all included. Connect to your supply pipework and it's ready to go.
What is the IP54 rating?
IP54 means the pump is protected against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction. It's suitable for pump shed and outdoor installations in normal conditions, but should not be submerged or exposed to heavy water spray.
Does it need a plumber to install?
Yes — professional installation by a licensed plumber is recommended. The pump connects via standard 1" BSP fittings and needs to be correctly integrated with your tank supply and pressure system.
Can I pair it with a water filter?
Yes. A filter installed upstream protects the pump from sediment and extends its service life. Get in touch for filter recommendations suited to your water source.
What warranty applies?
3 years, backed by Waimana Water.
