How It Works

The Aquano UV system uses ultraviolet light to treat water as it flows through the chamber.

Water enters the UV chamber and passes around a protective quartz tube containing the UV lamp. The quartz allows UV light to reach the water while keeping the lamp isolated from it.

UV light damages the genetic material of susceptible microorganisms, preventing them from reproducing.

Unlike conventional sediment and carbon filtration, UV treatment does not physically remove particles or dissolved chemicals. It provides a disinfection stage within the water treatment system.
