Is this a genuine Electrolux or Westinghouse filter?

No. It's a Spring Source compatible filter made to replace ULX220 / 807946705.

What does NSF/ANSI 42 mean?

NSF/ANSI 42 is an independently tested standard for reducing chlorine, taste and odour. IAPMO, an accredited certification body, tested this filter against that standard.

What is the micron rating?

0.5 micron. That fine level catches small particles and sediment as well as reducing chlorine and odour.

How often should I change it?

Every 6 months or 757 litres, whichever comes first. Your fridge's filter indicator will also tell you when it's due.

The Spring Source SS-ULX220 is a compatible replacement for the Electrolux and Westinghouse ULX220 internal fridge water filter, also used in some Frigidaire models. Electrolux doesn't make it. Check the code on your current filter first: it should read ULX220, or a matching code such as EFF-6047A, 807946705 or EPTWFU01.

It slides into the filter compartment inside the fridge, with no tools. Spring Source lists it as 0.5 micron activated carbon, certified to NSF/ANSI 42 by IAPMO for chlorine, taste and odour, made in an ISO 9001 factory. It's BPA-free and rated for 30–120 psi (207–827 kPa) and a flow of 1.9 L/min (0.5 gpm).

Fit a new filter every 6 months, so your water and ice keep tasting fresh.
