What it removes

What it reduces

KDF (copper-zinc) and granulated activated carbon (GAC) in one inline cartridge.

  • Chlorine

The carbon adsorbs chlorine and related by-products.

  • Taste and odour

The carbon traps the compounds that make water taste and smell off.

  • Keeps the cartridge cleaner

KDF has a bacteriostatic effect that discourages algae, fungi and bacteria.

Common questions

Which fitting type should I choose?

If your system uses ¼" push-fit tubing, choose JJ. If it connects with male threaded fittings, choose BB. If you're unsure, get in touch and we'll confirm the right type before you order.

How often do I need to replace it?

Every 12 months or 7,570 litres, whichever comes first, or sooner if the flow noticeably slows. In offices or other busy settings it may need changing more often.

Do I need a pressure limiting valve?

Only if your mains pressure is above the cartridge's maximum operating pressure. It's rated at 862 kPa (125 psi), so if your pressure is higher, a pressure limiting valve is needed before the filter.

Can I use it with rainwater, tank or bore water?

No. The OKDF30/1 is for mains (town) water only. It isn't suitable for rainwater, tank, bore or surface water.

What does KDF media do?

KDF is a high-purity copper-zinc alloy that reduces contaminants through electrolytic and oxidation reactions. Its bacteriostatic effect discourages algae, fungi and bacteria, which helps keep the carbon working.

Full product details

Read the full description

An inline replacement filter with KDF and granular activated carbon, for an underbench line or drinking tap. It's the same cartridge as the Omnipure K5567. It reduces chlorine, taste and odour, with the KDF layer helping the carbon last.

Which one? Pick OKDF30/1-JJ for built-in quick connect fittings, or OKDF30/1-BB for female threaded ends. It's rated at 1.9 L/min. Change it every 12 months or 7,570 litres, whichever comes first, or sooner if the flow slows. A pressure limiting valve is needed if your mains pressure is above Omnipure's maximum operating pressure of 862 kPa (125 psi).
