The Pentair 20" Jumbo Polypleated Sediment Filter is made from durable pleated polyester and provides a large filtration surface area for capturing suspended sediment while maintaining good water flow.

Its larger 20" Jumbo format provides greater sediment-holding capacity and longer intervals between cleaning than the 10" version, making it particularly well suited to higher-flow systems and water supplies with heavier sediment loading.

When dirty, simply remove, rinse and reuse the cartridge.

Which Micron Rating Should I Choose?

For multi-stage filtration, use coarser cartridges before finer cartridges.

A common two-stage configuration is:

20 or 50 Micron → 1 or 5 Micron

This allows the first cartridge to capture larger sediment before the water reaches the finer second-stage filter.

For particularly sediment-heavy supplies, the 50 micron option can make an excellent first-stage prefilter.

Washable & Reusable

5. Rinse accumulated sediment from the pleated media using clean water.
6. Reinstall the cartridge.
7. Reassemble the housing and restore the water supply.
8. Check for leaks.

Cleaning frequency depends on the quality of your incoming water and the micron rating selected.

Coarser particles such as sand are generally easier to rinse away, while very fine silt can become embedded within the pleats over time.

Replace the cartridge once cleaning no longer restores adequate flow or if the polyester media becomes damaged or degraded.
