Common questions
Is the KAS20J for rainwater or town water?
Rainwater and tank water. For town (mains) water, the Davey KAS20JM uses a 5 micron poly spun and a 5 micron carbon block instead.
How often do I change the cartridges?
Change the cartridges every 6–12 months, or sooner if the water flow drops noticeably. The stage 1 pleated cartridge can be washed in mild detergent, rinsed and reused if the pleats aren't damaged.
What's the difference between the KAS10A, KAS10J and KAS20J?
They use the same two cartridge stages. The KAS10A has slim 10" Standard housings, up to 35 L/min. The KAS10J has 10" Jumbo housings, up to 57 L/min. The KAS20J has 20" Jumbo housings, up to 79 L/min.
Does the KAS20J treat bacteria?
No. It removes sediment and cysts. For UV disinfection, see the Davey AquaShield.

The Davey Microlene KAS20J is a twin whole house filter for rainwater and rural supplies. It catches sediment before it reaches your taps and appliances.
Stage one is a 20 µm pleated cartridge that you can rinse and reuse, and stage two is a 1 µm polyspun cartridge, both 20" jumbo. We suggest a flow of 79 L/min, ports are 25 mm FBSP, and maximum pressure is 880 kPa (128 psi). It comes with a housing spanner and bracket fixings, and it's WaterMark approved.
Change the cartridges every 6–12 months, rinsing the pleated one in between. 1-year manufacturer's warranty on the housings.
If you drink your tank water, pair it with filters plus UV.
