The Davey Microlene standard purifier is the one we recommend for rainwater. It meets AS/NZS 4348:1995 for domestic water treatment appliances.

How it works

One purifier, two filter steps

Water goes through the standard purifier, first to 10 micron and then to 1 micron, and out through its own tap.

  • Drinking tap

    Included

    Tap and spout are in the box. The tap sits on the bench next to your sink.

  • Connection to your cold water line

    Included

    Includes a ½" pipe tap kit (for a flexi hose) and a C-clamp kit (for copper or plastic pipe). The C-clamp kit may not be accepted in some markets.

  • Tubing and push-lock fittings

    Included

    Tubing, 2 push-lock fittings (female thread) and 2 push-lock fittings (male thread).

  • Pressure limiting valve

    Included

    Fits between the cold water connection and the purifier. Leaving it out voids the manufacturer's warranty.

  • Spare purifier

    Not included

    The system comes with one MQCSP purifier fitted. Replacements are sold separately.

  • Benchtop hole

    The tap needs a 13mm (½") hole in the benchtop. Don't drill marble, granite or concrete yourself, as these surfaces damage easily.

The system must meet local rules and be installed by a licensed plumber.

How often do I change the purifier?

Change the MQCSP standard purifier every 2 years or 10,000 litres, whichever comes first.

Can I use it on town water?

We recommend the standard purifier for rainwater and the premium purifier for mains water. For town water, look at the MPQCUBS.

What size hole does the tap need?

A 13mm (½") hole in the benchtop. Don't drill marble, granite or concrete yourself.

Who should install it?

Installation must meet local rules and be done by a licensed plumber.

The Davey Microlene MSQCUBS filters drinking water at your kitchen sink, and it's made for rainwater.

The cartridge filters from 10 µm down to 1 µm and uses silver-impregnated granular activated carbon to reduce taste and odour. It's rated at 4 L/min. It comes with a chrome benchtop tap and a fitting kit, so it runs alongside your normal kitchen tap.

Change the cartridge every 2 years, or sooner if the flow drops. 12-month manufacturer's warranty.

If you drink your tank water, pair it with filters plus UV.
