Questions
How is the MQCSP different from the MQCPP Urban filter?
Both use the same quick-connect fitting and 1 micron filtration. The MQCSP is formulated for rainwater, tank, and rural supplies — where sediment loads and contaminant profiles differ from mains water. The MQCPP (Urban) includes a KDF media layer for heavy metal reduction and has a longer service life of 3 years. If you're on town supply, the MQCPP is the better fit.
How do I know when to replace it?
Replace every 2 years, or sooner if flow rate noticeably drops or taste and odour return.
Will it fit my system?
The MQCSP is designed specifically for Microlene quick-connect underbench systems — it screws into the Microlene quick-connect head. The head is not included. If you're unsure whether it fits your system, get in touch and we'll confirm before you order.
Is it suitable for mains (town) water?
It will work on mains water, but the MQCPP Urban cartridge is the better choice for mains supply — it includes KDF media for heavy metal reduction and lasts up to 3 years.
What does WaterMark certification mean?
WaterMark is an independent certification that the product meets Australian and New Zealand water industry standards. It is required for plumbing products used in residential and commercial water supply in NZ and Australia.
Do I need a plumber to replace it?
No. The MQCSP screws into the Microlene quick-connect head. Shut off the water, unscrew the old cartridge, screw in the new one. No special tools required.
