The Davey Microlene MQCPP is a premium inline replacement cartridge for Microlene quick-connect underbench filter systems on mains (town) water supply. It uses a two-stage filtration process — first to 10 microns, then to 1 micron — combined with granulated activated carbon and a KDF media layer to reduce chlorine taste and odour, heavy metals, and a wide range of common mains water contaminants.
The KDF layer does two jobs: it reduces heavy metals directly, and it protects the activated carbon from early exhaustion — giving this cartridge a working life of up to 3 years and 30,000 litres. WaterMark certified.
Screws into the Microlene quick-connect head. Designed for mains (town) water supply only.
Sold as a single cartridge.

Questions
How is the MQCPP different from a standard carbon filter?
Standard activated carbon filters typically last 6 months before the carbon becomes exhausted. The MQCPP adds a KDF media layer, which reduces heavy metals and extends the life of the carbon — giving the cartridge a working life of up to 3 years or 30,000 litres.
How do I know when to replace it?
Replace at 3 years or 30,000 litres — whichever comes first. If taste or odour returns before that point, replace earlier.
Will it fit my system?
The MQCPP is designed specifically for Microlene quick-connect underbench systems — it screws into the Microlene quick-connect head. It is not a universal push-fit cartridge. If you're unsure whether it fits your system, get in touch and we'll confirm before you order.
Is it suitable for rainwater or tank water?
No — the MQCPP is designed for mains (town) water supply only.
What does WaterMark certification mean?
WaterMark is an independent certification that the product meets Australian and New Zealand water industry standards. It is required for plumbing products used in residential and commercial water supply in NZ and Australia.
Do I need a plumber to replace it?
No. The MQCPP screws into the Microlene quick-connect head. Shut off the water, unscrew the old cartridge, screw in the new one. No special tools required.
