Common questions
Is the Clarity II right for my home?
It's made for New Zealand homes and baches on rainwater or tank water where sediment is the main concern. On town water, the Essence range will suit you better.
How often do I change the cartridges?
Every 6–12 months, depending on how much sediment is in your water. Tank water with more silt shortens cartridge life. The Clarity II replacement kit has both cartridges.
Why two sediment stages instead of one?
The 20 micron pleated filter catches the larger dirt and debris first, so the 1 micron polyspun filter can trap the fine silt without clogging early. Both cartridges last longer that way.
Does the Clarity II make rainwater safe to drink?
The Clarity II removes sediment and particulates. It does not treat bacteria or other micro-organisms. If you want to treat your rainwater for drinking, a UV system added after the filter is the recommended next step.

The Waiora Clarity II, made by Waimana, is a 2-stage whole house filter for rural and tank water. It filters the water to every tap and helps protect your pipes, pumps and appliances from sediment.
Stage one is a 20 µm poly pleated cartridge and stage two a 1 µm polyspun cartridge, both 10" jumbo. The housings have stainless threaded 25 mm BSP ports and sit on a powder-coated steel bracket, and a housing spanner is included. We recommend a maximum working pressure of 85 psi (6 bar), with 125 psi (8.5 bar) the upper limit.
Change the cartridges every 6–12 months. 3-year manufacturer's warranty on the housing.
If you drink your tank water, pair it with filters plus UV.
