Common questions
Is the Clarity Plus III right for my home?
It's made for larger New Zealand homes and baches on rainwater or tank water where sediment and taste are both a concern. For a smaller home or lighter use, the Clarity III (10") covers the same job in a more compact format. On town water, the Essence range will suit you better.
How often do I change the cartridges?
Every 6–12 months, depending on how much sediment is in your water. Tank water with more silt shortens cartridge life. The larger 20" format usually lasts longer than a 10" system in the same conditions. The Clarity Plus III replacement kit has all three cartridges.
How is the Clarity Plus III different from the Clarity Plus II?
The Clarity Plus II is a 2-stage system focused on sediment. The Clarity Plus III adds a carbon block as the final stage, which tackles the organic tastes and odours sediment filters don't address. If your tank water smells earthy or tastes flat, the Clarity Plus III is the better choice.
Does the Clarity Plus III make rainwater safe to drink?
The Clarity Plus III removes sediment and particulates and organic tastes and odours. It does not treat bacteria or other micro-organisms. If you want to treat your rainwater for drinking, a UV system added after the filter is the recommended next step.

The Waiora Clarity Plus III, made by Waimana, is a 3-stage whole house filter for rural and tank water. It filters the water to every tap and helps protect your pipes, pumps and appliances from sediment.
The stages are a 20 µm poly pleated cartridge, a 1 µm polyspun cartridge and a 5 µm carbon block for taste and odour, all in 20" jumbo housings. The housings have stainless threaded 25 mm BSP ports and sit on a powder-coated steel bracket, and a housing spanner is included. We recommend a maximum working pressure of 85 psi (6 bar), with 125 psi (8.5 bar) the upper limit.
Change the cartridges every 6–12 months. 3-year manufacturer's warranty on the housing.
If you drink your tank water, pair it with filters plus UV.
