Large homes on tank water need a system that can handle serious demand. Multiple showers, the laundry, the kitchen — all at once, all day. The Waiora Clarity Plus III is built for exactly that.
This is a 3-stage whole house system designed for larger New Zealand homes on rainwater or tank water. It uses 20 inch jumbo housings for high flow capacity, and covers coarse sediment, fine silt, and organic taste and odour across three dedicated filter stages. Stage one catches the bulk of the debris. Stage two traps the fine particles. Stage three uses a carbon block to clear the earthy tastes and odours that sediment filters alone leave behind. Clear, fresh-tasting water from every tap, even when the whole house is running.
The triple housings arrive pre-mounted on a powder-coated bracket, ready to go on the wall. Connection is standard 25mm BSP. Filter changes are DIY-friendly with the included housing spanner.

- Simple DIY filter changes — no special tools needed beyond the included spanner
- Pre-mounted and ready to install
How it works
Stage 1 — Coarse Sediment
The 20 micron pleated filter catches the larger particles first — dirt, debris, leaves, and organic matter that collect in your tank. Starting coarse protects the stages downstream and extends overall cartridge life.
Stage 2 — Fine Sediment
The 1 micron polyspun filter captures the fine silt and particles that passed through Stage 1. By the time water reaches Stage 3, it's clear and ready for the final treatment.
Stage 3 — Carbon Block
The 5 micron carbon block removes organic tastes and odours — the earthy, musty qualities that sediment filters alone don't address. The result is water that tastes as clean as it looks.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Clarity Plus III right for my home?
It's designed for larger New Zealand homes on rainwater or tank water where both flow rate and taste treatment matter. If you have a smaller home or lighter usage, the Clarity III (10 inch) covers the same three stages in a more compact format. If sediment alone is your concern, the Clarity Plus II may be sufficient. Get in touch if you're not sure which suits you best.
How is the Clarity Plus III different from the Clarity Plus II?
Both use 20 inch jumbo housings for high flow. The Clarity Plus III adds a carbon block as the final stage, which tackles the organic tastes and odours that sediment filters don't address. If your tank water smells earthy or tastes flat, the Clarity Plus III is the better choice.
How is the Clarity Plus III different from the Clarity III?
Both are 3-stage systems covering coarse sediment, fine sediment, and carbon treatment. The Clarity Plus III uses 20 inch jumbo housings, which means higher flow capacity and longer cartridge life between changes. It's the better choice for larger households with higher water demand.
Does the Clarity Plus III make rainwater safe to drink?
The Clarity Plus III removes sediment, particulates, and organic tastes and odours. It does not treat bacteria or other micro-organisms. If you want to treat your rainwater for drinking, a UV system added downstream is the recommended next step. Get in touch and we can help you put together the right setup.
Does it need to be installed before or after my pump?
The Clarity Plus III is installed on the outlet side of your pump — after the pump, before the rest of the house. This means it protects your appliances and fittings downstream, not the pump itself. If you need pre-pump protection, get in touch and we can advise on the right setup.
Do I need a plumber to install it?
For most customers, yes — a licensed plumber is the safest path and protects your warranty on the plumbing side. That said, the Clarity Plus III arrives fully assembled, uses standard 25mm BSP fittings, and mounts with the included hardware. If you're confident with household plumbing, the installation itself is straightforward. If you're not sure, get in touch and we'll help you decide.
How often do I replace the cartridges?
Every 6–12 months, depending on how much sediment and organic matter is in your water. The larger 20 inch format typically extends cartridge life compared to a 10 inch system under the same conditions. Check the pleated filter first — if it's visibly loaded with debris, it's time.
Do I need bypass valves?
They're not included, but they're worth adding. Bypass valves let you isolate the filter during cartridge changes without shutting off water to the rest of the house. Ask us about adding a set when you order.
What warranty does it come with?
3 years.
