Fit check

Is it right for my water supply?

A quick check before you buy.

  • Storm water, site and flood water

    Good fit

These pumps are built to move large volumes of water from commercial and industrial sites, sumps and pits.

  • Grey water or small soft solids

    Good fit

Clean or grey water of neutral pH with up to 10% small soft solids or 1% fine solids, with soft solids up to 10 mm.

  • Raw sewage, hair or stringy waste

    Not this one

We recommend Davey vortex, cutter and grinder pumps for hair, stringy materials and raw sewage with sanitary products.

  • Float or manual

    Good fit

The D75A has a preset float switch. The D75M has no float: switch it off by hand, or with an external float or level switch, once water drops to the top of the pump housing.

  • Deep pits and sumps

    Good fit

    Rated for 25 m maximum submergence, with a 10 m lead.

  • Power supply

    Consider

Models up to 750 W can run from a standard 10 A outlet, and 1,500 W models need a 15 A outlet. The lead has bare wire ends.

Common questions

D75A or D75M?

The D75A has a preset float switch, so it starts as water rises and stops at a safe level. The D75M is manual: switch it off by hand, or with an external float or level switch, once water drops to the top of the pump housing.

What water can it pump?

Clean or grey water of neutral pH with up to 10% small soft solids or 1% fine solids, and soft solids up to 10 mm. Sand and grit will wear the pump faster. It's not for flammable or corrosive fluids.

How much water can it move?

The D75 to DT37 range has capacities to 1,200 lpm and 24 m maximum total head; the larger three phase models reach the top of that. The performance curve shows the D75A / D75M figures.

What power outlet does it need?

Models up to 750 W can run from a standard 10 A outlet, and 1,500 W models need a 15 A outlet. The 10 m lead has bare wire ends for connection by a suitably qualified person.

What warranty does it have?

The D75A and D75M come with a 2-year warranty.

Full product details

Read the full description

These commercial dewatering pumps are built to move large volumes of water from commercial and industrial sites, for sump emptying, septic water disposal, water transfer and neutral, non-aggressive factory waste water. The D75A / D75M has an open impeller, a double mechanical seal in an oil bath, a sand slinger and a low velocity inlet strainer, and comes with a hose tail for temporary use with lay-flat hose. The D75A has a preset float switch for automatic operation. The D75M is manual.

The D75A / D75M is rated at 0.75 kW on 240 V single phase, with a 2" F BSP outlet and a 10 m HO7RN-F lead with bare wire ends. The D75 to DT37 range has capacities to 1,200 lpm, 24 m maximum total head (the three phase DT models reach the top of that range) and 25 m maximum submergence, with soft solids to 10 mm. It weighs 24 kg.

It comes with a 2-year warranty. For sewage with hair, stringy material or sanitary products, we recommend Davey vortex, cutter or grinder pumps instead.
