Common questions

Which grade do I need?

10CTO05 is Waimana's standard 5 micron carbon block. The premium 10CTO01 (1 micron) and 10CTO-UF (0.5 micron) are finer grades. Pick one from the Micron options above.

How often should I change it?

We recommend replacing cartridges every 6–12 months. Change it sooner if the flow drops.

Will it fit my housing?

It fits any 10" Jumbo housing: about 10" long and 4.5" wide. Check the size on your old cartridge.

Full product details

Read the full description

Waimana's 10" Jumbo carbon block reduces chlorine, taste and odour, and catches fine sediment on the way through. It's an activated carbon block with a polypropylene core and end caps, made for cold water at 5–45°C.

Which grade? The 5 micron 10CTO05 is the one most homes need. It's rated at 40 L/min, plenty for a whole house on town water, and it's the carbon block for Waimana Waiora UV systems. Step up to the 1 micron 10CTO01 if you want a finer final stage, or the 0.5 micron 10CTO-UF for the finest filtration in the range. Change it every 6–12 months, and a sediment filter ahead of it helps the carbon last.

Waimana is an Auckland company, and we're NZ owned in Te Rapa, Hamilton. If it's not right, we'll put it right.
