Common questions
Is the Clarity Plus I right for my home?
It's made for larger New Zealand homes and baches on rainwater or tank water where coarse sediment removal is the priority. For a smaller home or lighter use, the Clarity I (10") covers the same job in a more compact format. On town water, the Essence range will suit you better.
How often do I change the cartridge?
Every 6–12 months, depending on how much sediment is in your water. Tank water with more silt shortens cartridge life. The larger 20" format usually lasts longer than a 10" system in the same conditions. The Clarity Plus I replacement kit has a new cartridge.
What's the difference between the Clarity Plus I and Clarity Plus II?
The Clarity Plus II adds a 1 micron polyspun stage after the 20 micron pleated filter. It works better for tank water with fine silt and clay particles. If your water is fairly clear with only coarser debris, the Clarity Plus I is enough.
Does the Clarity Plus I make rainwater safe to drink?
The Clarity Plus I removes sediment and particulates. It does not treat bacteria or other micro-organisms. If you want to treat your rainwater for drinking, a UV system added after the filter is the recommended next step.

The Waiora Clarity Plus I, made by Waimana, is a single-stage whole house filter for rural and tank water. It filters the water to every tap and helps protect your pipes, pumps and appliances from sediment.
It uses one 20 µm poly pleated cartridge in a 20" jumbo housing, sized for higher flow and bigger households. The housings have stainless threaded 25 mm BSP ports and sit on a powder-coated steel bracket, and a housing spanner is included. We recommend a maximum working pressure of 85 psi (6 bar), with 125 psi (8.5 bar) the upper limit.
Change the cartridges every 6–12 months. 3-year manufacturer's warranty on the housing.
If you drink your tank water, pair it with filters plus UV.
