Two 20" jumbo filter housings, pre-mounted on a powder-coated bracket and delivered ready to install. Built for large homes where flow rate and cartridge life matter — high-capacity 20" jumbo cartridges handle heavy demand without pressure drop.

Available in three configurations — the Waiora Plus II housing only, the Waiora Clarity Plus II rainwater and tank water kit, or the Waiora Essence Plus II mains water kit. Select your configuration from the dropdown.

Bore water quality varies significantly. We recommend testing your bore water before selecting a filtration system — get in touch and we'll help you choose the right configuration for your supply.

Choosing your configuration

Waiora Plus II — housing only
Both bowls ship empty. Choose this if you want to specify your own cartridge combination, or if you're replacing an existing setup.

Waiora Clarity Plus II — rainwater and tank water kit
Stage 1: 20 micron pleated sediment — catches coarse debris, dirt, organic matter, and larger particles. Cleanable and reusable.
Stage 2: 1 micron polyspun sediment — removes fine silt and particles, and physically blocks parasitic cysts.

Waiora Essence Plus II — mains water kit
Stage 1: 1 micron polyspun sediment — removes fine particles, rust flakes, and grit from the mains supply line.
Stage 2: 5 micron carbon block — removes chlorine taste, chemical odour, and organic compounds.

How each stage works

Waiora Clarity Plus II — rainwater and tank water kit

Stage 1 catches the bulk of the debris — coarse dirt, organic matter, and larger particles that collect in your tank. The pleated design provides a large filter surface for high dirt-holding capacity. Cleanable and reusable between replacements.

Stage 2 captures the fine silt and particles that passed through Stage 1. At 1 micron, it also physically blocks parasitic cysts — common in unprotected rainwater and surface water supplies.

Waiora Essence Plus II — mains water kit

Stage 1 removes the rust, grit, and fine sediment that enters from mains supply lines. It protects the carbon stage downstream and extends its service life.

Stage 2 removes chlorine taste, chemical odour, and organic compounds — the qualities that affect the taste of everything your water touches: drinking, cooking, coffee, ice.

Cartridge replacement

Replace all cartridges every 6–12 months depending on your water quality and usage. The 20" format extends cartridge life compared to 10" systems under the same conditions. In high-sediment supplies, the Stage 1 pleated cartridge in the Clarity Plus II can be rinsed and reinstalled to extend its life. The clearest signal for the carbon block is a return of chlorine taste — replace it when taste returns, even if flow is still good.

Pairing with UV treatment

The Waiora Clarity Plus II prepares water for UV treatment. Clear, pre-filtered water is essential for UV to work effectively. Get in touch if you want help configuring a complete rainwater system.

FAQ

Which configuration should I choose?

If you're on town (mains) supply and want to remove chlorine taste and sediment, choose the Waiora Essence Plus II. If you're on tank or rainwater and want sediment removal including fine particles and cysts, choose the Waiora Clarity Plus II. If you want to build your own cartridge setup, choose the Waiora Plus II housing only.

What's the difference between the Waiora Plus II and the Waiora Plus III?

Both use the same 20" jumbo housings. The Plus III adds a third stage — either a carbon block for the rainwater kit or a KDF/GAC stage for the mains kit. If you want taste and odour treatment in addition to sediment removal on rainwater, or heavy metal reduction on mains, the Plus III is the stronger choice.

Does the Waiora Clarity Plus II make tank water safe to drink?

The Clarity Plus II removes sediment and physically blocks parasitic cysts. It does not treat bacteria or other micro-organisms. If you want to treat rainwater or tank water for drinking, a UV system added downstream is the recommended next step — get in touch and we can help you put together the right setup.

Can I clean the Stage 1 cartridge in the Clarity Plus II?

Yes. The 20 micron pleated cartridge is cleanable and reusable. Rinse under a tap when flow drops and reinstall. Replace when it no longer recovers after cleaning or is visibly damaged.

Should this be installed before or after my pump?

Install it on the outlet side of your pump — after the pump, before the rest of the house. This protects your appliances and fittings downstream. If you need pre-pump protection, get in touch and we can advise.

Do I need bypass valves?

They're not included, but worth adding. Bypass valves let you isolate the filter during cartridge changes without shutting off water to the rest of the house. Ask us about adding a set when you order.

Do I need a plumber to install it?

For most customers, yes — a licensed plumber is the safest path. The set arrives fully assembled, uses standard 25mm BSP fittings, and mounts with the included hardware. If you're confident with household plumbing, the installation is straightforward. Get in touch if you're unsure.

How often do I replace the cartridges?

Every 6–12 months depending on your water quality and usage. The 20" format typically extends cartridge life compared to a 10" system. Check the pleated filter first — if it's visibly loaded with debris, it's time.

What warranty applies?

The housing set carries a 3-year warranty. Cartridges are consumable items and are not covered by warranty, but get in touch if anything arrives damaged or defective.
