Looking after the UV
- Clean the quartz sleeve whenever the UV lamp is inspected.
- Replace the UV lamp every 12 months. UV output drops before the lamp visibly fails.
- UV needs clear water. The filter stages before it remove the sediment that would block the UV light.
- The UV unit goes after the Clarity Plus II filter, as the last stage before water enters the home.

Why do I need both filtration and UV?
Filtration removes sediment and particles. UV treats bacteria, viruses and other micro-organisms. UV needs clear water to work, so the filter goes first and the UV unit is the last stage before water enters the home.
Can the bundle go outdoors?
Install both units indoors or somewhere protected from the weather. For an outdoor spot, the Ultra II Shield has a protective cover.
How is this different from the Ultra II?
Both have the same filter stages and 48W UV. The Ultra II arrives assembled on one wall bracket. This bundle ships as two units: the Clarity Plus II filter system and the Waimana UV 48W.

This bundle pairs the Waiora Clarity Plus II whole house filter, made by Waimana, with a Waimana 48W UV unit, for rural and tank water. It ships as two items.
The filter has a 20 µm pleated and a 1 µm polyspun cartridge in 20" jumbo housings. The UV unit is rated at 45 L/min with a dose of 30 mJ/cm², and a flow switch means it only runs when water flows. Both use 25 mm BSP ports. The filter is on a powder-coated steel bracket, and we recommend 85 psi, with 125 psi the maximum for the housings.
Change the filter cartridges and the UV lamp every 12 months. The filter housing has a 3-year warranty, and our listing gives the UV chamber 3 years too.
