What it removes

The Ultra II removes sediment and silt, then treats the water with UV before it reaches your taps.

How it works

Two stages, then UV

Water passes through each filter stage in order, then the UV chamber, before it reaches every tap in the house.

The 48W lamp delivers a 30 mJ/cm² UV dose at up to 45 L/min. It treats the water for bacteria, viruses and other micro-organisms without adding chemicals.

    The lamp only runs while water is flowing.

Looking after the UV

  • Clean the quartz sleeve whenever the UV lamp is inspected.
  • Replace the UV lamp every 12 months.
  • UV needs clear water. The filter stages before it remove the sediment that would block the UV light.

Common questions

What is the difference between the Ultra II and the Ultra II Shield?

Both give the same filtration, UV treatment and flow rate. The Shield adds a protective cover and a pressure gauge, so it suits indoor and outdoor installation.

Can the standard Ultra II go outdoors?

No. Install it indoors or under cover. Choose the Ultra II Shield for an outdoor spot.

What does flow-activated UV do?

The lamp only switches on when water is flowing. That lowers power use, extends lamp life and stops water warming in the chamber.

Does UV change the taste of the water?

No. UV treats the water without adding chemicals or changing its taste.

How often do I change the cartridges and the lamp?

Every 12 months. The service kit has the cartridges and the UV lamp, so you change them together. Clean the quartz sleeve at each lamp change.

The Waiora Ultra II, made by Waimana, filters your water in two stages, then treats it in a 48W UV chamber. It's rated at 45 L/min, which suits medium to large households.

The stages are a 20 µm polypleated cartridge and a 1 µm polyspun sediment cartridge, both 20" jumbo. The UV dose is 30 mJ/cm², and a flow switch helps stop the UV running when no water is flowing. Ports are 1 inch (25 mm) BSP, maximum pressure is 116 psi (8 bar), and it runs on 240 V.

Change the filter cartridges and the UV lamp every 12 months, and clean the quartz sleeve at each lamp change. 3-year manufacturer's warranty covering the UV chamber, housings and workmanship.
